Nokia is a Finnish multinational telecommunications company founded by Fredrik Idestam and Leo Mechelin in 1865. It became the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones in 1998 and remained so until 2011, before losing its position as the world's number one in favor from Samsung the following year. On September 3, 2013, Nokia sold its "mobile terminals" division, then in decline. Microsoft took it over and consolidated its activities around the “network” division Nokia Networks6. In October 2014, Microsoft decided to stop marketing smartphones under the Nokia7 brand. In 2016, Nokia decided to entrust the use of the brand in mobile telephone terminals to the Finnish company HMD Global Oy, founded by former managers of Nokia Oyj8.   Network management and customer service software (OSS, BSS): network management, customer experience management, service analytics and billing, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, virtualization and cloud computing

  Research and development, intellectual property rights related to patents. After acquiring Alcatel-Lucent in 2015, Bell Laboratories was part of the company.
